Your securities account number and I-PIN provide you entry into CDP Internet Access. You must give added attention to safeguard your I-PIN and not provide any intruder with the means to access your personal information.
Do adopt the following practices to safeguard your I-PIN:
- Maintain the confidentiality of your I-PIN at all times
- Never write or record your I-PIN where it can be retained by another person, software or computer
- Avoid using the same I-PIN details as your other online services, such as email log-on, cyber-shopping etc
- Avoid obvious I-PIN combinations based on personal details, such as date of birth, NRIC numbers, telephone numbers, userids, names and any other associated records.
- Change your I-PIN regularly
- Do not recycle previously used passwords
- Always do a proper log-off
- Avoid using a shared or public PC to login to CDP Internet Access
- Ensure that no one can see you enter your I-PIN when you login to our system
- Do not allow anyone (without exception) to use your I-PIN, as you are responsible for all transactions undertaken with your I-PIN
- Under no circumstances is any CDP staff authorised to ask for your I-PIN
If you suspect that your I-PIN has been exposed or tampered with, please change it immediately online. Do contact us at cdp@sgx.com or 6535 7511 if you have any problems, or suspect that there are unusual activities conducted with your account.
