At CDP, we have taken steps to protect the confidentiality of your data and information:

Up-to-date Encryption Technology
We have installed the 128-bit Security Socket Layer (SSL) protocol to secure transactions over the Internet. You can be assured that your account information is secured via our website as the security protocol encrypts sensitive information and allows access only upon verification of your identity.

Double Authentication Login Process
Access to restricted pages is granted only when the account holder verifies his/her identity through a double authentication process, where he/she is required to enter the securities account number and I-PIN.

As your securities account number and I-PIN are unique to you, the double authentication process makes it that much harder for a third party to gain access to your personal account.

Security Surveillance System
Our security system constantly monitors and identifies any potentially damaging form of activities on our network and systems.

We are able to detect a period of inactivity after your login session, and trigger an automatic "time-out" to prevent any unauthorised access if your computer is left unattended.

The pages you have viewed during your session will not be available unless you login again using your userid and I-PIN if you wish to continue your online transaction.

Please note that our system tracks the number of login attempts and your online access will be disabled following 5 consecutive failed login attempts. To re-establish access to your account, you will have to write in to us.

Firewall
A firewall is a combination of software, hardware and policy which exists to control access to information on either side of the firewall. A firewall can exist between any two networks, but with the rise in popularity of the Internet, it is generally used to prevent Internet users from gaining access to a private or corporate network. In addition, it can be used to control which Internet services are available to users of the corporate network on the other side of the firewall.

All access to the application network must go through these firewalls. Additional firewalls are used to secure access to the databases containing the securities account information from the application servers.
